Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder Luka Modric has received a lucrative contract offer from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr, according to reports.
Luke Modric, who remains a key player for Real Madrid, has entered the final six months of his contract with the Spanish outfit. The Croatian midfielder’s current contract with Real Madrid is due to expire at the end of the season.
He has not yet renewed his contract with Real Madrid, although the club’s manager Carlo Ancelotti has labelled the Croatian international as an ‘untouchable’.
With Luka Modric due to be out of contract at the end of the season, reports have claimed that Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr have made a mammoth contract offer to the former Ballon d’Or winner.

Luka Modric rejects Al-Nassr’s €40m-a-season contract offer
However, Croatian outlet 24sata has reported that Luka Modric has rejected Al-Nassr’s contract offer that would have seen him earn a staggering €40m-a-season.
The Croatian outlet adds that Luka Modric hopes to stay at Real Madrid beyond the end of his current deal and that he wants to end his career at the Spanish club.
Luka Modric has featured in 23 games across all competitions for Real Madrid so far in the 22/23 season. The veteran midfielder has also racked up five goals and two assists for Los Blancos in the current campaign.
Meanwhile, if Al-Nassr manages to pull off a deal for Luka Modric, that would see the Real Madrid midfielder reunite with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar has joined Al-Nassr on a lucrative contract that makes him the highest paid footballer in the world. The 37-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-a-year contract with Al-Nassr.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr after parting ways with Manchester United. Manchester United and Ronaldo terminated his contract with the Old Trafford-outfit by mutual consent in November last year.
