Alejandro Garnacho and Manchester United are in advanced talks over a new, improved contract

The Independent recently reported that Real Madrid are monitoring Alejandro Garnacho’s situation at Manchester United, with Los Blancos keen to move for the Argentine if the Red Devils fail to reach an agreement with him over contract renewal.
The Telegraph now reports that Manchester United are in advanced talks with Alejandro Garnacho over a new, improved deal. Although the Red Devils have not yet reached an agreement with Garnacho over a new deal, he is close to signing one.
The report also claims that Alejandro Garnacho’s current contract with Manchester United expires only in 2025, and not in 2024 as has been widely suggested.
The Telegraph also reports that there is optimism at Old Trafford they will reach an agreement with Garnacho soon.
Alejandro Garnacho will be aiming to maintain his impressive form going forward. Meanwhile, fourth-placed Manchester United are now just one point behind second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League points table.
However, Man Utd trail table-toppers Arsenal by nine points, but they will have the opportunity to reduce the gap on the Gunners when they meet at the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League fixture this weekend.
