Victor Osimhen: Manchester United are interested in signing Napoli. The Nigeria international has established himself as among the most talented attackers in Europe since joining the Italian outfit from Lille in the summer transfer window of 2020.
He has played 38 games (in all competitions) for the Blues so far, scoring 18 goals and assisting six more. Osinhen won the Seria A Best Young Player award last season.
Manchester United to sign Victor Osimhen?
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are preparing a £107 million bid to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. That would make him the joint-most expensive player in British football history.
Erik ten Hag currently has only Anthony Martial and loanee Wout Weghorst as first-team strikers. He will look to bolster the position during the summer transfer window. Harry Kane is another striker who is on the Red Devils’ radar. But, as per the aforementioned source, Osimhen is Erik ten Hag’s first choice.

Victor Osimhen is currently among the most in-form strikers in Europe. He has registered 16 goals and three assists in 17 Serie A games this season. The 24-year-old attacker has also scored one goal in three UEFA Champions League appearances so far this term.
Chelsea are another Premier League club that have shown interest in signing the Nigeria international in recent weeks. Napoli are likely to demand a massive transfer fee to sell him.
Napoli urged not to offload Victor Osimhen
Floriana coach Victor Osimhen has suggested Napoli should not sell Victor Osimhen. He believes that the Naples outfit would struggle to replace the Nigeria international if they let him leave.
While speaking to the media, he said: “I would never let Victor Osimhen go, even if in today’s football nobody is non-transferable. The cycle can be opened, provided that good players integrate with the best in the squad. Then, if Napoli are good enough to let Osimhen leave and sign a better striker, hats off. But it’s not that easy.”
