Marcus Rashford teamed up with one of his idols, Cristiano Ronaldo when the Portuguese superstar re-signed for Manchester United in the summer transfer window of 2021.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Manchester United on a two-year contract with an option for a further year. But his stay at Manchester United has been cut short after the club terminated his contract by mutual agreement.
Ronaldo had effectively burnt the bridges with Manchester United prior to that, after sitting down for an explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and the Glazer family, the owners of the club, were among those Ronaldo criticized in the interview.

Marcus Rashford Break Silence on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Exit From Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo is now a free agent after the termination of his Manchester United contract. The 37-year-old is now with the Portugal squad in Qatar as part of their FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign.
Asked about Ronaldo, Rashford said it was an unbelievable experience to play with the Portuguese superstar. Rashford said it was an experience he could keep with him forever.
“It has been an unbelievable experience to play with him,” Rashford told reporters when asked about his former teammate.
“He is one of my idols and someone I always looked up to. It’s something I can keep with me forever. I wish him all the best and we want to thank him for the things he’s done for Manchester United.”
Meanwhile, Rashford is also in Qatar, with the England squad for their FIFA World Cup campaign. The Three Lions kicked off their FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with a commanding 6-2 win over Iran in their opening match.
Rashford, who came on as a substitute in the game, was one of England’s scorers. He scored in the 71st minute of the match, England’s fifth goal of the game.
Rashford also came off the bench in England’s second match at FIFA World Cup 2022. The Manchester United attacker though drew a blank as the Three Lions and USA shared points after playing out a goalless draw.
