Marcus Rashford has travelled with the Manchester United squad to London for their EFL Cup final match against Newcastle United.
Manchester United will square off with Newcastle United at Wembley in the final of the EFL Cup as the Red Devils aim to end their six-year trophy drought.
Manchester United heads into the game against Newcastle United on the back of their 2-1 win over Barcelona at Old Trafford in the Europa League knockout play-off second-leg. That win over the Catalan outfit secured Manchester United their place in the round of 16 of Europa League.
However, Marcus Rashford suffered an apparent ankle injury in the second half of their clash with Barcelona at Old Trafford, according to Manchester Evening News. The England international was also substituted late in the game, with Scott McTominay replacing Rashford in the 88th minute.

Manchester Evening News report that Marcus Rashford has travelled with the Red Devils squad to London for their clash with Newcastle United. He has been named in their squad for the EFL Cup final.
Erik ten Hag was unsure of Marcus Rashford’s availability for EFL Cup final when asked on Friday. The Manchester United manager said he could not confirm his availability until 100 per cent diagnosis is done.
“I don’t know. Players are now coming in,” Erik ten Hag said on Friday. “We have to do investigations, medical, of course, yesterday we did. So straight after a game most of the time you can’t say, you have to wait for a 100 per cent diagnosis. So let’s do the medical, the work, we have to wait.”
Although Marcus Rashford drew a blank in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Barcelona, he has been impressive for the Red Devils in the current campaign. He is their top goalscorer this season.
Marcus Rashford has featured in 37 games across all competitions for Manchester United so far this season. He has racked up 24 goals and nine assists for the Old Trafford outfit in those matches. In the EFL Cup, he has featured in five matches this season and has scored five goals and bagged two assists.
Meanwhile, the EFL Cup final match between Manchester United and Newcastle United kicks off at 10:00 pm Indian Standard Time on Sunday, February 26.
