Moises Caicedo: Brighton & Hove Albion have rejected Arsenal’s increased offer for the Ecuadorian midfielder.
Moises Caicedo has attracted transfer interest from both Chelsea and Arsenal, who are looking to reinforce their midfield department before the January transfer window closes.
Chelsea saw a bid of £55m for the 21-year-old turned down by Brighton. Arsenal then tabled a £60m bid for Moises Caicedo, but Brighton once again rejected the proposal.
Moises Caicedo has since issued a public statement urging Brighton & Hove Albion to allow him to leave the club. The midfielder said he hopes Brighton fans can understand why he wants to ‘take up this magnificent opportunity’ amid club record bid.

£65m bid by Arsenal for Moises Caicedo rejected by Brighton
Arsenal have tabled an increased bid for Moises Caicedo to Brighton, but the Seagulls have once again rejected the approach. The Gunners reportedly submitted a bid of £65m plus £5m in add-ons.
Brighton does not want to part ways with Moises Caicedo, who is a key player for the Seagulls, in the January transfer window.
Caicedo has been a regular starter for Brighton in what has so far been an impressive 22/23 campaign for the Premier League outfit. He has featured in 21 matches for Brighton so far this season, with 18 of those coming in the Premier League.
After Moises Caicedo’s public plea urging Brighton to allow him to leave, the Seagulls have informed him to stay away from training until the January transfer window closes.
The midfielder was also not part of the Brighton squad that faced Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth cup. Despite the absence of one of their key players, Brighton secured a 2-1 win over Liverpool to progress to the next stage of the FA Cup.
After Harvey Elliott sent Liverpool ahead in the 30th minute of the match, Brighton equalized through Lewis Dunk. Brighton then scored a late winner to get the better of Liverpool as Kaoru Mitoma earned them the victory with a goal in the 90+2nd minute.
Meanwhile, Brighton sits sixth in the Premier League points table with 31 points from 19 matches so far in the 22/23 season. They are eight points behind fourth-placed Manchester United who have 39 points from 20 matches.
