I am focused on Brighton, says Moises Caicedo amid transfer speculation

Speaking to Brighton & Hove Albion’s official website, Moises Caicedo insisted that he is focused on the Seagulls despite the speculation surrounding his future.
He also said he handles the transfer speculation very well and is not distracted by it.
“I am focused on Brighton. I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here,” Moises Caicedo told Brighton’s official website.
“I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club that opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”
Brighton signed Moises Caicedo from the Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle at the start of February 2021. He signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Brighton.
He then joined Belgian top-flight side Beerschot on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2021. However, Brighton recalled him in February 2022. He made 10 appearances for Brighton in the remainder of the 21/22 season.
Moises Caicedo has been a regular starter for Brighton in the ongoing 22/23 season. He has featured in 21 games across all competitions for the Seagulls so far this season. Of those, 18 appearances have come in the Premier League, where he started in each of those.
Moises Caicedo’s current contract with Brighton & Hove Albion runs until the summer of 2025. That means he has more than two years left on his current deal with the Premier League outfit.
