Ousmane Dembele is hoping to extend his stay at FC Barcelona beyond the end of the 22/23 season, according to a report in the Spanish outlet SPORT.
The Frenchman last renewed his contract with Barcelona in July last year, putting pen to paper on a one-year contract. That means his current contract with the Catalan outfit is due to expire at the end of the 22/23 season, and that he has entered the final six months of his contract with Barcelona.

The Spanish outlet also reports that the Frenchman is satisfied with his life in Barcelona and the status he has achieved within the Barcelona squad.
Ousmane Dembele has been very impressive for Barcelona in the ongoing campaign. He scored the winner and the only goal of the game in Barcelona’s previous match when they secured a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey quarter-final.

How has Ousmane Dembele performed for Barcelona in the 22/23 season?
Ousmane Dembele has featured in 27 matches across all competitions for Barcelona so far in the ongoing 22/23 campaign.
In those appearances, the Frenchman has racked up a respectable total of eight goals and seven assists.
17 of his 27 appearances for Barcelona so far this season have come in La Liga. Five of his eight goals and five of his seven assists have also come in the Spanish top flight.
He has also scored two goals in two matches for Barcelona in the current edition of Copa del Rey. The Catalan outfit secured their passage to the semi-finals of Copa del Rey with their win over Real Sociedad in which Dembele starred.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are also the La Liga leaders. The Catalan outfit occupies the first position in the La Liga points table ahead of arch-rivals and defending champions Real Madrid, who sit behind them in second.
Barcelona have 44 points from 17 matches in the Spanish top flight so far this season, with 14 victories, two draws, and one defeat.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, trails their El Clasico rivals by three points. Los Blancos have 41 points from 17 matches, with 13 wins, two draws, and two defeats.
Meanwhile, Barcelona will take on Girona in La Liga in their next match. Ousmane Dembele and co. will be aiming to earn all three points from the fixture and maintain their lead at the top of the La Liga points table. The match between Barcelona and Girona kicks off at 8:45 pm IST on January 28.
