Premier League trio of Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea have held talks with La Liga side Atletico Madrid over a possible loan move for Portuguese international Joao Felix, according to a report in 90min.
Joao Felix has been linked with a move away from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window with the Spanish club’s chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin admitting the Portugal international could leave the club.
One of the reasons Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil Marin said to suggest they could part ways with Joao Felix was the relationship between the player and club manager Diego Simeone.
The 23-year-old has featured in 18 games across all competitions for Atletico Madrid so far in the 22/23 season. But he has only started in half of those games, with the rest being appearances off the bench.

Premier League Trio Hold Joao Felix Loan Deal Talks With Atletico Madrid

90min report that Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea held talks with Atletico Madrid last week over a possible loan move to sign the highly-rated Portuguese attacker.
Atletico Madrid are ready to part ways with Joao Felix, but 90min report that one stumbling block in any potential deal for the 23-year-old is his club’s desire to recover as much as they can of the hefty sum that they paid to sign him in the first place. Atletico Madrid landed Joao Felix from Benfica for a transfer fee of €126 million.
90min claim that Atletico Madrid are looking to insert a permanent transfer clause worth around £100m in any deal for Joao Felix. They further report that it has proven problematic for Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal.
All three aforementioned Premier League clubs are reportedly looking to reinforce their attacking department in the upcoming January transfer window. Manchester United are looking to sign an attacker to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, who parted ways with the club after the termination of his contract by mutual consent in November.
Arsenal, meanwhile, will be without Gabriel Jesus for several weeks after the Brazilian international suffered an injury during FIFA World Cup 2022. He has since undergone surgery on his right knee.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have confirmed Armando Broja is expected to miss the remainder of the season after suffering an injury during a friendly against Aston Villa.
