Carlo Ancelloti confirmed that Real Madrid are not looking to sign any new players in this January transfer window. However, they could be open to offers for five players. According to AS, Los Blancos are open to offers for Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, and Mariano Diaz.
Ancelloti would want some of them to continue this summer. However, if an offer comes along these players will be allowed to leave. It would also depend upon the offer as well, whether Real Madrid are convinced to sell these players or not.
Although some players’ departures will have little impact on the current season. But presently, Los Blancos don’t have a lot of squad depth. They could be a few injuries away from crises. Thus any move would depend upon a few permutations and combinations.
Currently, Real Madrid are fighting on three fronts. They are second in La Liga. But they are tied on 38 points with Barcelona. Their Copa Del Rey’s ambitions are still alive. They are in Round 32 of the competition. While in the Champions League, they will face Liverpool.

Real Madrid is to be busy in the January transfer market
It would not be surprising to see Alvaro Odriozola leave in January. The Spaniard is yet to feature in any game for Los Blancos. The likes of Juventus and AS Roma have shown interest in him as well.
While Dani Ceballos has played in recent games. He has been impressive in recent times for the Spanish side. The Spaniard has provided good back for Toni Kross and Luka Modric. Thus there is a possibility that he might stay at the club.
However, his contract expires next summer. As for Marco Asensio, he is liked by Ancelloti. But presently he is not a starter for the club. Also, his contract expires next summer. It remains to be seen whether Los Blancos will offer the duo an extension or not.
While Eden Hazard has hardly featured this season. Although it is not surprising anymore. The Belgian has hardly been able to find good form since his arrival in Spain. Marino Diaz is also surplus to requirement. But he is the only recognized striker after Karim Benzema.
What’s next for Real Madrid?
Los Blancos are looking for reinforcements next season. They need to identify replacements for Benzema and Modric. Both of them are in their late thirties.
Erling Haaland has been touted as a replacement for Benzema. While AC Milan’s Rafael Leao’s name has also been mentioned. As for Modric, Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham has been linked to the club.
While the fullback is also an area where they had issues. Both Dani Carjval and Ferland Mendy have been inconsistent. Real Madrid are looking for players who can show consistency.
Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is a target for Real Madrid. Some has suggested Chelsea’s Recce James as a right-back option. However, considering his injury record Los Blancos might consider other options.
