Recently Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made a visit to Carlo Ancelotti in the dressing room. It is believed that all is not well between the Italian manager and the club President. Thus there have been rumors that Ancelotti could be shown the door next season.
According to Tomas Gonzalez-Martin via Remontada Blanca, Los Blancos have now identified a replacement for the Ancelotti. The report states that Perez wants to bring Mikel Arteta next season as a Real Madrid manager.
The Spaniard is currently in his fourth season at Arsenal. During his four years, he has managed to build a young and strong team. Currently, he is challenging his former master Pep Guardiola toe to toe for the Premier League table. The Gunners are first in the Premier League table with 63 points.
On the other hand, Real Madrid are struggling in La Liga. Although they are second in the table but they trail Barcelona by nine points. They have an El-Clasico coming up and a defeat at Camp Nou would virtually mean the end of their title defense.
The Ancelotti-Perez conflict at Real Madrid

There have been rumors that there are certain disagreements between the two at the club. Recently when Perez visited the dressing room he informed the Real Madrid manager about some of his decisions in the game.
However, a prominent one is regarding Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. The Los Blancos President wants Ancelotti to rely less upon the aging duo. But the former Chelsea manager views the duo as the backbone of his team.
Apart from this, the results haven’t been good enough for Real Madrid. They are already lagging behind Barca in La Liga and they could soon be out of the Copa Del Rey. The Madrid giants have already lost the first leg of the Copa Del Rey by 0-1 to Barcelona and they are not the favorites for the second leg.
There is good hope for them in the Champions League. They trashed Liverpool at Anfield by 5-2 in the first leg of the Round of 16. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side are very charged by after defeating Manchester United 7-0. Not only they will look to seek inspiration from their comeback against Barca a few years ago. Thus Los Blancos will have to be on their toes for this one.

Mikel Arteta to Real Madrid ?
The Spaniard started his career with Barcelona but never made a first-team appearance for them. He is well aware of the Barca way of football and he tries to implement the same in his Arsenal team. Thus considering his allegiance to Barca it seems unlikely that would want to move to Santiago Bernabeu.
But there have been managers and players who have been associated with Barca but still represented Real Madrid. However, in Arteta’s case, things will be a bit different. This is because it looks unlikely that he will leave Arsenal anytime soon.
He has worked very hard to build this young exciting team at the Emirates. The Spaniard would want to at least win a few trophies before making the next move. Also, for Los Blancos, there are other top managers available in the market.
Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel are out of work presently. Those two have previously shown what they are capable of. While Zinedine Zidane has been linked with a return for a third stint as well.
