Real Madrid are monitoring Argentine youngster Alejandro Garnacho’s situation at Manchester United, according to a report in The Independent.
Alejandro Garnacho has been impressive for Manchester United in the 22/23 season. The 18-year-old has already made 15 appearances for Manchester United’s first team so far in the 22/23 season. The highly-rated attacker has also scored two goals and registered five assists for the Red Devils in the ongoing campaign.
He has scored one goal for Manchester United in the Premier League – and that was an injury-time winner in the Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat of Fulham in their last game before the winter break.
Alejandro Garnacho also delivered an impressive performance when Manchester United hosted defending champions and cross-town rivals Manchester City in the Premier League last week. Erik ten Hag introduced Garnacho in the 72nd minute of the match when Man Utd were trailing the game by a goal. The young attacker was impressive for the Red Devils during his time on the pitch against Man City and assisted Marcus Rashford’s winner for the club.

Real Madrid monitoring Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho’s situation

Alejandro Garnacho’s current contract with Manchester United expires in 2024. That means he will be able to talk to new suitors next January. However, Manchester United does have the option to extend his contract by another year.
Alejandro Garnacho and Manchester United have not yet reached an agreement over a contract renewal. However, The Independent report that ‘positive’ talks have taken place between the two parties over a new contract renewal.
The English outlet also reports that Real Madrid are monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation at Manchester United. The Spanish behemoths could look to move for Garnacho if Manchester United fails to reach an agreement with the Argentine over extending his stay at the Premier League club.
Meanwhile, Juventus are also reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Alejandro Garnacho.
The Independent also reports that Garnacho is currently on £7000-a-week at Manchester United. His representatives have reportedly informed that an offer of £20000-a-week would not be enough to convince the player to commit to a new contract at Manchester United.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Garnacho. He is becoming increasingly important for the Red Devils, and the youngster will be aiming to continue delivering the goods for the Old Trafford outfit.
