Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said they must play ‘a complete game offensively and defensively when they take on Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final in their next match.
Los Blancos have been drawn against their fierce rivals FC Barcelona in the semi-final of Copa del Rey. Real Madrid will host the first leg of the two-legged tie against their El Clasico rivals.
Speaking ahead of the match, Carlo Ancelotti said Real Madrid are preparing for the match with confidence.
“We are preparing for the match with confidence. We have to play a complete game offensively and defensively and we are looking forward to playing because these are the most beautiful duels,” Carlo Ancelotti said [via Madrid Universal]. He added: “We are very close to reaching the final and there are many things to enjoy.“

Carlo Ancelotti admitted that repeating the mistakes that they made in Spanish Super Cup final will affect them, but believes they will not make those in the Copa del Rey semi-final.
“We have evaluated previous games against Barcelona and if we repeat the mistakes of the last game it will affect us but I don’t think it will happen again. We are close to winning a competition that is important for us,” Carlo Ancelotti said.
