Real Madrid are in desperate need of reinforcements next season. The likes of Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Toni Kross have just a few months left on their contracts.
While there is no obvious for the trio. However, it looks like Los Blancos have taken their first step towards replacing Karim Benzema. According to The Independent Real Madrid are planning an audacious move for Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian is seen as a replacement for Karim Benzema. The Frenchman has struggled for fitness this season. He is already 35 years old now and with age, his fitness issues will increase.
It will initially be believed that Real Madrid will make a move for Haaland in 2024. However, Florentino Perez is ready to pull the trigger and make a move for the striker in 2023 itself.
Why does Real Madrid believe they can sign Erling Haaland?
The Premier League champions recently hit the Financial Fair Play Regulations. It is unclear what kind of punishment they could face in the future. Real Madrid are keen to exploit that uncertainty to sign Haaland.

While Haaland is not the only target for next season for Los Blancos. Florentino Perez is keen on bringing more youth and energy into the squad. Jude Bellingham is another top young player who is wanted next season by Florentino Perez.
The Englishman is only 19 years old and has been a revelation during his time at Dortmund. However, just his former Norwegian teammate he will be an expensive signing for Real Madrid.
While it seems unlikely that Kylian Mbappe will join the Los Blancos anytime soon. Just last summer he signed a long-term contract with Paris Saint Germain. This means that PSG will have leverage for negotiating any kind of transfer for the player.
Also, Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the club is not clear. Prima facie it appears that he will leave the club this summer. But it is not clear who will replace him in the summer. Another big question for Perez is, how he will generate funds to make the signings as many players are entering the final year of their contracts.
