Robert Lewandowski Hopes to Stay at Barcelona For Many Years

FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski believes he can play at a high level for more than two years and hopes to stay at the Catalan outfit for many years.

Robert Lewandowski, who is one of the best strikers in the world, left Bayern Munich and joined Barcelona in the summer transfer window of 2022. The Polish attacker has been impressive for Barcelona and has been a key player for manager Xavi at the Catalan outfit in the ongoing 22/23 campaign.

Robert Lewandowski has amassed an impressive tally of 25 goals and six assists in 31 matches across all competitions for Barcelona in the current season.

The 34-year-old signed a contract that runs until 2026 with Barcelona when joining the Catalan outfit in 2022. That means he has a little over three years left on his current contract with the Spanish behemoths. There is reportedly also an option to extend the contract by another year.

Speaking to Barca Magazine, Robert Lewandowski said he thinks he can play at a high level for at least more than two years. He also hopes to stay in Barcelona for many years.

“I don’t think about how many years I will be at Barca. I still think I can play a few more years at a high level, but I don’t know how many. I’m sure it won’t be one or two. It will be more. I hope I can stay here for many years. Now I understand the meaning of Mes que un Club,” Robert Lewandowski told Barca Magazine [via GOAL]

Meanwhile, Barcelona have had a mixed season so far in the 22/23 campaign. The Catalan outfit got knocked out of the Champions League at the group and was dumped out of Europa League by Manchester United in the round-of-16 play-off tie.
