Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admitted it is disappointing they could only manage to earn a draw vs Real Sociedad in the La Liga.
Real Madrid took on Real Sociedad in their recent match and dropped two points as they now find themselves five points behind table-toppers Barcelona in the La Liga points table.
The two teams played out a goalless match as they shared points from the fixture. Real Madrid dominated possession against Real Sociedad in the match but could not convert those into goals.
Los Blancos registered 20 shots in the game – seven of which were on target – but they failed to find a way past the Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro, who was impressive.

Real Madrid did enough to win, claims Thibaut Courtois after a goalless draw with Real Sociedad

Speaking after the match, Thibaut Courtois, who started between the sticks for Real Madrid against Real Sociedad, admitted it is disappointing they could only earn a point from the fixture.
The Belgian goalkeeper also claimed Real Madrid deserved to win the match and that they did enough.
“We did enough to win, we created lots of chances. They did too in the second half, but we deserved to win on the whole today. It’s disappointing, but Real are a good side and can cause you problems. It’s a draw that’s a bit disappointing,” Thibaut Courtois said.

Thibaut Courtois also praised the Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro, who he said produced some great saves.
“The goalkeepers usually have great games here. Remiro is a top keeper and he produced some great saves, especially the one from Vini when he tried to dink it over him. He’s had a great game and it’s a shame we couldn’t get a goal,” Thibaut Courtois said.
Real Madrid, who are the defending La Liga champions, now have 42 points from 18 matches in the Spanish top flight so far this season. Barcelona, who sit atop the points table, have 47 points from 18 matches.
Real Madrid will face Valencia in a home fixture in La Liga in their next match. The game between Real Madrid and Valencia kicks off at 1:30 am Indian Standard Time.
