Real Madrid star Toni Kroos has made a decision on his future. The Los Blancos superstar has just a few months left on his current contract with the club.
According to Mundo Depertivo, he has decided to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu. The German midfielder will sign a one-year contract extension with the Spanish side.
An option of retirement at the end of the season was also an option. However, the Real Madrid star feels like an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Although his form has dipped at times this season. But he still remains an integral part of the Real Madrid squad. He is one of the senior figures at the club guiding young galacticos in the dressing room.
Potential future for Toni Kroos at Real Madrid

The German international was signed by Los Blancos in 2014. Since then he has won four Champions League, three La Ligas, and three Spanish super cups as well.
It is fair to say that he had a terrific career with Real Madrid. Not only this he is an experienced player as well. He broke into Bayern Munich’s first team at a very young age.
Even Carlo Ancelotti took his advice in Real Madrid’s famous 3-1 comeback against Manchester City. Thus some had suggested integrating the German into the club management after his retirement.
The German exudes calm and many young players can learn from him. Also, Zinedine Zidane came into the setup this way only.

Toni Kroos’ international future
On the international stage as well, German has achieved good success. He was part of the German national team that won the 2014 World Cup.
He has played in Euro 2012, 2016, and 2020 and in World Cup 2014, 2018, and 2022 for German. It looks like Euro 2024 will be his last tournament for Germany.
The player himself had previously stated that he will decide his future after the Euro 2020. However, he is yet to confirm his future at the international level.
It will also depend on what Hansi Flick has planned for the Real Madrid star. If the manager decides to integrate more youth then it is unlikely that he will be a part of the German national team for long.
