Formula 1 News: Timo Glock against Sebastian Vettel?
Considered a sport that hardly cares about the environment and strives towards innovation. F1 drivers are expected not to be environmentally conscious and instead put their minds in alignment with the sport.
That’s what, according to former Toyota and Marussia driver Timo Glock are F1 values. He believes that Vettel’s values are now deviant from F1’s values. However, he doesn’t think anyone can do anything about it.
“Again: It seems that Sebastian’s values no longer match those of Formula 1. I can imagine that the creators and some fans don’t like that,” Glock said to F1-Insider.
“On the other hand: what should they do? Forbid him to shut up? Certainly not. Seb has achieved too much for that.”
Formula 1 News: 4 time world champion can still compete
Vettel will be continuing with Aston Martin next year. Glock believes that if the German is given the right car, the latter can still fight for the championship.
“Of course, there were one or two mistakes in the past,” Glock added. “But those were just external circumstances at Ferrari that narrowed you down, where you are no longer so free in your head,” Glock referring to Ferrari’s decision to release him the reason being a sub-par performer in 2020.
“I am convinced, if he has the right car, he can continue to compete in the front,” he concluded. Aston Martin sees Vettel as a crucial addition to the outfit, and they totally want him to stay maybe forever.
However, this year Vettel’s performances haven’t been exceptional with Aston Martin. But honestly, it isn’t totally Vettel’s fault. His stripped podium and a few technical issues of Aston martin are the prominent reasons behind his underwhelming year.
