Formula 1 news: Lewis Hamilton says that he will change his name in the honor of his mother. As Hamilton is preparing for the upcoming season of formula one, he has decided to change his name in the honor of his mother whose name is Carmen Larbalestier.

The seven-time world champion of F1 will add his mother’s name to his surname in her honor and soon he may race as Lewis Hamilton Larbalestier. He said that his mom is a Larbalestier and he will add her name to his name.

He doesn’t like the rituals in which a woman loses her name when she gets married, so he wants to continue his mother’s surname. His mother, Carmen Larbalestier, divorced his father, Anthony Hamilton, and he lived with her till he was 12 years of age.
