Formula 1 News: Qatar added as a new venue to the 2021 Formula 1 calendar. The Formula 1 race will take place in November. They have also signed a 10-year deal to host a Grand Prix from 2023.
The Gulf state will fill in the vacancy for the vacant slot in this year’s calendar. Losail circuit will be hosting the event from 19-21 November. It is also known for hosting MotoGP events.
Qatar will not host a Formula1 race in 2022 as they are hosting the Fifa World Cup. Qatar is the fourth Middle Eastern country to join the Formula 1 calendar. Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia are the other three countries.
Saudi Arabia is also making its debut this year as the penultimate race of the 2021 season. The event will be from 3-5 December.
The last three events of the 2021 calendar will take place in Middle Eastern countries starting with Qatar followed by Saudi Arabia and the season finally in Abu Dhabi.
This year’s Qatar Grand Prix will be a floodlit night race starting at 18:00 local time. The location for 2023 and onwards is not confirmed. The plan is to hold a race in the capital of Doha.
The 2021 calendar still has seven more races. The battle for the Championship title is heating up between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
The seven races left in this year’s calendar are Turkey (08-10) October, United States (22-24) October, Mexico (05-07) November, Brazil (12-14) November, Qatar (19-21) November, Saudi Arabia (03-05) December and Abu Dhabi (10-12) December.
Formula 1: Who will take the 2021 season

With only seven races left in this year’s calendar, the fight for the title is heating up. Lewis Hamilton is leading the race with 246.5 points with Max Verstappen just behind him with 244.5 points.
Valterri Bottas, who is going to leave Mercedes after this year is sitting in the third position with 151 points. Lando Norris who came very close to winning his first career race at Sochi is fourth with 139 points. Sergio Perez is fifth with 120 points.

In the Constructors table, Mercedes is leading the race with 397.5 points with Red Bull behind them with 364.5 points. Another battle is for the third position as both Ferrari and McLaren will look to finish in that position.
McLaren is third with 234 points and Ferrari just behind them with 216.5 points.
