Formula 1 News: F1 Race chief Stefano Domenicali has given the confirmation of a solid update on Monday. He revealed that the Imola circuit in Italy will remain on the F1 calendar until the year 2025.
This comes about after two successful Grands Prix in Imola. They were organized during the difficult situations of the pandemic.
Likewise, the race’s inclusion in the championship for 2022 as well led to this decision. Imola hosted the Italian Grand Prix for the first time in the year 1980. But, then, it turned into the San Marino Grand Prix venue from the year 1981 to the year 2006.
In the year 2020, the circuit came back to its form. This happened as the venue for a Formula 1 race was set at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of F1, said he is “delighted”. This is due to the fact that they will be proceeding with their “excellent partnership” with Imola.
It will be for the purpose of being the venue of the Formula 1 race at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. It will be until the year 2025, he said. He went on saying that the circuit is “iconic.”
Moreover, he added, it has played an important role in the history of the sport. And, he said, they did an outstanding job during the difficult times of the pandemic. It was when they successfully hosted two F1 races.
He added that it is a “proud moment” for the F1 fans in Italy. Also, for all the fans all around the world. Seeing this “fantastic” circuit on the 2022 F1 calendar is great for all the F1 insiders and fans.

Furthermore, the Formula 1 chief expressed his gratitude and happiness with the update. He said that is extremely thankful to every single person who was somehow involved in making this happen. And, he also praised the work of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
He particularly expressed his gratefulness towards the President of the Automobile Club of Italy, Angelo Sticchi Damiani. And, the President of Emilia-Romagna, Stefano Bonaccini. In addition, he also thanked the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Plus, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and the City of Imola for their assistance.
He added that he and the whole F1 family is looking forward to coming to Imola. They are all excited to return to the fantastic circuit in April. And, provide a dose of “thrill” to the fans.
