Ganguly Praises Kohli’s Intensity

Kohli is indeed an eccentric figure. He has been transcending his form into the team’s form. Under his leadership, players are looking more focused and hungry to win. His efforts have been applauded by various international legends, including our very own Sachin Tendulkar.

Recently, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President, Sourav Ganguly went about praising Kohli. He said, “When I see Virat Kohli playing cricket on the field, you get up from the work table and go and watch him; that’s what he does to the game. His intensity, his passion is unbelievable.”

“He has succeeded MS Dhoni very well despite having a lot of responsibility to take up,” said the former captain.

Sourav Ganguly was probably the captain that gave youngsters the most amount of chances in the team. Seeing Kohli carry forward a similar mindset must make him feel accomplished. He seemed really glad about the inclusion of seniors and youngsters in the team. Indeed both the youngsters and the seniors have been playing well together and have shown good form. In fact, by giving youngsters a fair chance in the team, Kohli is helping Indian cricket as well.

According to Ganguly, Kohli’s leadership makes the game interesting for the viewers as well. He added, “You saw the stands when England played the One-Day International (ODI) and the Twenty20 International series. We hosted the India vs England game on January 22 (at Eden Gardens in Kolkata) and being the president, I could not keep up the demands of the seats; that’s what people like about Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and Yuvraj Singh. What they do to the people of the country is remarkable.”

It appears that Indian cricket is in safe hands. With the current unbeaten streak in Tests, India looks strong ahead of Australia series. India will be playing 4 test matches in this series and would look to dominate the Aussies at Home.
