Jude Bellingham snubbed a move to Manchester United in order to complete his summer transfer move to Borussia Dortmund. The 17-year old made a switch from Birmingham City to the German giants and has till yet impressed with his performance in all the five matches.
Much before the beginning of this season. The glimpses from the pre-season were enough to assure that Bellingham would become an important part of Dortmund’s starting eleven. Since his arrival, the English professional is busy making his impact at his new club.
Bellingham gives an impressive start to Dortmund debut by scoring in a 5-0 win over Duisburg in the German Cup. He is made to play in Bundesliga for the first three matches of the club. Apart from his club fixtures, Aidy Boothroyd called up Bellingham to the England Under-21 setup.

Along with it his amazing presence, Manchester United also displayed a huge interest in signing him this summer. However, it seems that United has missed another talented prospect besides losing its top target Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United couldn’t enjoy the best of the summer transfer window after missing some of their top targets. Bellingham also snubbed a move to Manchester United in order to join Borussia Dortmund. United pulled out a number of strings and strategies to sign him.
The midfielder was given a private tour of the club’s facilities in presence of United legend Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona. The tour was just to lure the midfielder to make up his mind for a move to Manchester United.
Bellingham snubbed a move to United in a fear of getting less playtime. The Dortmund decision has so far justified with the midfielder having a smooth journey to date making five senior appearances for the German giants.
Jude talked about a move to Borussia Dortmund.
In an interview, Bellingham told Sky Sports. Leaving Bellingham was hard because the club is like a massive part of him and he has been there for so long. The midfielder added that he started by being a fan. Then he started playing through as an academy player and eventually breaking through the first team.
The 17-year old said that Borussia Dortmund is a huge opportunity for him and it wasn’t a difficult decision for him to choose the club.
It is also interesting to note that his teammate and another Manchester United target Erling Haaland draw similarities between him and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
While revealing his teammate FIFA 21 rating in a new video on Twitter, the striker twice calls Bellingham “The new Stevie G”. Though the wonder kid has miles to go before he could actually match Gerrard feats. It seems that fans are ready to witness his skills getting unveiled.
