Well, a UEFA Nations League means more games for footballers and more action for fans around the world.
So starting 2018, UEFA will organise a new nations league. The tournament has been designed in a manner to make international, and particularly European football more competitive.
The tournament will include 55 teams, divided into 4 leagues. The teams will be divided based on their UEFA ranking from November 2017. Within the leagues, the teams will be divided into different groups based on their ranking. Teams ranked from 1-12 would be in placed in League A, followed by the next 12 in League B, followed by the next 15 in League C and the last 16 in League D.

Leagues A and B would comprise of four groups of three teams each, League C will comprise one group of three teams and three groups of four sides while League D will be formed by four groups of four teams. At the end of each round, 4 teams would be relegated while 4 teams would be promoted to the next level. Based on where the teams finish in the inaugural edition of the Nations League, the positions for the subsequent competition would be decided.
The winners of the 4 groups in League would then compete in the Final Four competition. The eventual winner would be thus crowned as the Nations League champion.
