Matteo Guendouzi was someone who was in the news for the wrong reasons. The player was having a good spell with Arsenal before it all started falling out for him. Guendouzi had faced similar issues in the past too.
In a game against Brighton in the Premier League Guendouzi made some unnecessary comments on his fellow Frenchmen Maupay. Mikel Arteta did not like Guendouzi’s attitude in particular. The player lost his spot on the team.
After that point, Guendouzi’s Arsenal career was in a downfall. The player was not being selected in the lineups and was training alone too at a point. A loan move to Hertha Berlin was in the best interests of both parties.
Guendouzi completed his move to Berlin on a season-long loan. He has been impressive in the 2 appearances he has made for the club. But whether the club is ready to fully commit to him still remains unknown. It just could be too early in the season to decide.
This was the statement of Hertha’s Chief as per reports from football london. “Three months ago, Matteo’s loan signing wasn’t possible, but it was at the beginning of October,” he said. “We are happy that he is there and that he enriched our game from the start.
“We’ll see everything else next summer. How the prices will develop by then and what Arsenal is planning then, nobody can say today.” Guendouzi has talent but the problem for him is his attitude towards the game. If he improves upon that aspect he certainly has the potential to grow.
Bukayo Saka may need a breather, Arsenal investing in young talent
Saka has been one of the top performers for Arsenal this season. The youngster has impressed viewers all over the world. He currently holds the 7 number jersey in the club and is one to look out for in the future.
Saka has people a regular part of the team and has played in almost every game this season for the club. He has become a crucial part of the team and is building a good partnership with the captain on the left-hand side. But will all that game time the risk of an injury to Saka is continuously increasing.
It has been a challenging run of games for Arsenal and Saka also featured in the International side in the break. Keeping this is in mind there is a chance of him wearing out. Arsenal’s next game is against Leeds united.
While Leeds can prove to be a tough opponent this might be the perfect opportunity to rest Saka and give an opportunity to some of the other players.
There is also a new trend emerging in big Premier League clubs. Big clubs are now investing in emerging young players for the future. Arsenal too are following this trend. They signed Martinelli from Ituano last Season and now Sao Paulo’s youngster Brenner is on the radar.
Dominik Szoboszlai is also a person of interest. It can be an exciting transfer window for Gunner’s fans come January. Although the club will need to prove their worth as Arsenal have not been able to retain their good form.
