Chelsea will be facing West Ham United in a must-win game in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge. It is going to be a serious test of character for the blues who are looking to strengthen their title race.
Chelsea lost back to back matches in the Premier League. They’ve slumped off to the eight positions and are now behind rivals Manchester United who looked to be shaky at the start.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men proved to be yet another test for Frank Lampard. Everton at Goodison Park is always a tough task for Chelsea as has been the case for the past few seasons.
And this year was no different with Chelsea losing all 3 points. Eduoard Mendy conceded a needless foul and Gylfi Sigurdsson buried the ball into the net from the penalty spot.
The match against Wolverhampton Wanderers proved to be no different with shabby defending and low creativity proving to be the difference. Overconfidence resulted in over-commitment and Wolves capitalized on the counter-attack.
Moreover, it’s clear that some players need to step up their game. It’s high time that both Timo Werner and Kai Havertz show why they’re world-class talents. The German duo needs to inject their A-game against West Ham United.
Jorginho and Mason Mount involved in hilarious Chelsea training incident
The players in the Chelsea camp looked to be in high spirits ahead of the game against West Ham United. Callum Hudson Odoi, Olivier Giroud, Kai Havertz all trained in the final session.
On the eve of his 29th birthday, Jorginho looked to have a lot of fun during training! In a video released by Chelsea’s official YouTube channel which we will be providing below, behind the scenes are shown for Chelsea’s training sessions.
In the video, Chelsea stars can be seen putting on their shooting boots and practicing in front of goal. Around the 4:09 mark, Jorginho steps up to try his luck and score past goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
He fails in his initial few attempts but then scores an absolute banger. A volley straight into the top bin. Moreover, he mocks Willy Caballero after scoring the scintillating strike. To this teammate, Mason Mount tackles him onto the ground to add to the celebrations.
Jorginho will hope Frank Lampard uses him not just in the training ground but also in the starting line up against West Ham United. The Italian is out of favor of the first team after being a regular starter during the Maurizio Sarri era.
The Pensioners will be missing out on quite a few important players which include Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech. Ziyech suffered a hamstring injury against Leeds United and us our ever since.
