Arsenal is eyeing a move for two midfielders ahead of the January transfer window. The two midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai and Houssem Aouar are Arsenal’s major midfield targets since the beginning of this year. However, the Gunners couldn’t afford a move for any of them.

Once the current year will edge closer towards its end the speculations would heat up again linking players with clubs. Arsenal who wants to finish in the top four this campaign is making way for their prime target ahead of time.

The Gunners have indeed welcomed several new faces with open arms. But the club as well as its manager seems at jest as they believe they could get hands-on few more players during January. After all, Arsenal failed to create many chances since the beginning of the season and the club has endured a mixed start to the season with a number of ups and downs.

In order to compete with all the top clubs of the Premer League. Arsenal would need the type of strength and energy they are lacking at present. The move for a couple of players would surely help Arsenal in giving a top-four finish.

The Gunner’s confidence was boosted up after giving a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United. But the club failed to carry on their energetic form. They were given a 3-0 defeat by the hands of Aston Villa prior to their international break. Arsenal not only lost the game but also received an injury blow after Thomas Partey suffered a thigh injury right before the half time.

Mikel Arteta got the major highlights of the flaws his team possess and all the additional work his side is asking for. Thus Arteta needs a spark like that of Jack Grealish to work things out when plan A fails.

Arsenal needs Szoboszlai and Aouar midfield magic

Arsenal is lacking the magical midfield that could have been given to them when the club made an inquiry about the two most wanted and talented midfielders. Moreover by making a transfer move for any one of the creative midfielder Arsenal could instantly add the missing spark on the squad.

The Gunners are looking towards revisiting a £21m transfer move for their summer target Dominik Szoboszlai. Who would bring goals and assist to Arsenal and would become Arsenal’s number 10?

The versatile midfielder is able to play in the hole despite bringing a regular left-hand midfielder. However, his arrival could give Arsenal a new midfield look. Even though Arsenal has tackling midfielder Thomas Party alongside them. But they still need a lot more control in the engine room.

That control could be given by Arsenal’s preferred midfielder Houssem Aouar who was missed narrowly during the summer window. Every approach of Arsenal went into vain after Lyon rejected two bids for the French midfielder. Hence, Arsenal could only Thomas Partey.

It is also evident that the availability of funds could again make Arsenal offer bids to Lyon in January and complete the transfer move for Aouar. Not only it will give immense energy to Arsenal’s attacking line through the link-up. But the trio would also give protection at the back. That is composed of Kieran Tierney, David Luiz, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Hector Bellerin.
