Antonie Griezmann is believed to be holding out for a summer move to Spanish Giants Barcelona, despite continued attempts by Atletico Madrid to keep their star man.
Antonie Griezmann is all set to become one of European football’s most in-demand asset once the season ends, though if reports are to believed, the Frenchmen already has an agreement in place with Barcelona.
Antonie Griezmann was identified as Manchester United and Barcelona’s number one transfer target back in summer. But despite the club’s effort to bring the player to Old Trafford or Camp Nou, the striker stayed in Spain after Los Rojiblancos were handed a transfer ban by FIFA.
Back in summer, United signed Lukaku and in January they signed Alexis Sanchez, eventually reducing their interest in Griezmann a bit, which has handed the upper hand advantage to Barcelona, as the Catalan Giants look forward to bolstering of there squad for the upcoming competitions.
As Manchester United are all set to miss on him for the second consecutive year, Barcelona is ready to pounce as early this summer. Earlier it was said that Barcelona will have to pay around £175 Million for the Frenchmen.
But according to some reports, his release clause has dropped from £175 Million to £100 Million, which should help facilitate his move to Barcelona, where he’ll join Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.
