Julen Lopetegui has begun his role as Real Madrid coach in the La Liga with three consecutive victories.
Real Madrid did not sign any big name players this summer but signed some players who could eventually turn into big name players. Spanish Right-Back Alvaro Odriozola who joined Real Madrid from Real Sociedad in the Summer Transfer Window is one among them.
The 22-year-old Spanish Right-Back impressed everyone with dazzling displays of football for Real Sociedad in the La Liga last season as he made 35 league appearances for the club. Real Madrid splashed 30 million Euros to sign this highly-rated player who was a part of the 23-man squad Spain sent to Russia to participate in the FIFA World Cup.

Odriozola, though, has not yet made his debut for Real Madrid. He was destined to start for Real Madrid in their previous fixtures, but an injury stopped him from action for a few weeks. Now, the player is fit and hopes to make it into the playing eleven.
“It’d be special, but it’d be equally special to do it in any given field when you’re making your debut for Real Madrid. Julen knows I’m ready because I took advantage of this FIFA break to get in good shape. I’m ready,” said the player ahead of Real Madrid’s next clash against Atheltic Bilbao on Sunday.
Odriozola and Real Madrid will be hoping to deliver another quality performance against Athletic Bilbao. A victory in the fixture will be a morale boost for Julen Lopetegui and Co. as they will next face AS Roma in the UEFA Champions League group-stage match.
At the moment, it will be difficult for Odriozola to earn a place in Real Madrid’s playing eleven since Spanish International teammate Dani Carvajal is available. Carvajal has delivered some world-class performances for Real Madrid over the years. However, Odriozola has the potential and ability to replace Carvajal in the team. But, it will take some time before he establishes as Real Madrid’s primary option at the right-back slot. It is expected that he would make his debut for Real Madrid in their next La Liga fixture.
