Australia drew first blood in the series by beating India by 4 wickets in the first game. The Indian bowlers lacked clarity in their bowling approach and ended up conceding too many runs.
On the other side of the coin, Australian batters chased down the target with four balls to spare. They have a mental edge going forward into the second T20I.
The must-win game for India will kick off at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. The game will kick off on September 23, Friday.
Meanwhile, the third and final T20I is scheduled to be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The game will kick off on September 25, Sunday.
IND vs AUS: Fans assaulted outside Hyderabad cricket stadium
In what comes as shocking news to the cricket fraternity, fans were not at all treated properly by the police outside the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Police used mild force to control the situation outside the Gymkhana ground of Secunderabad. The disturbing scenes happened when thousands of fans turned up to buy tickets for the third and final T20I.

Had there been a proper management by Hyderabad Cricket Association, it would have been a different story altogether. Complete chaos happened due to poor management by HCA.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma after losing the T20I opener against Australia, said, “I don’t think we bowled well. 200 is a good score to defend, and we didn’t take our chances in the field.
“It was a great effort from our batters, but bowlers were not quite there. There are things we need to look at, but it was a great game for us to understand what went wrong.
“We know this is a high-scoring ground. You can’t relax even if you get 200. We took wickets to an extent, but they played really well. They played some extra-ordinary shots,” the skipper added at the post-match presentation.
