IND VS SA: South Africa’s tour of India will begin on June 9 and the short tour comes to a close on June 19. The five-match T20I series is really going to be interesting.
The first T20I will kick off at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the national capital. Both teams have already started prepping for the T20I challenge which is just a couple of days away from getting underway.
Senior cricketers including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the T20I series. The aforementioned cricketers will turn out for the team’s tour of England.
Meanwhile, Team India are well aware of the fact that they didn’t do much to pull off a truckload of tricks when they last met South Africa in the overseas conditions.

Proteas got the better of Team India by 2-1 in the Test series under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. Later on, India locked horns with Proteas in the three-match ODI series. KL Rahul led the team from the front but failed to steer the team to a single win.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul has a great chance to make a bold statement as captain in the upcoming five-match T20 series. India will rely on KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant to lead the batting attack.
IND VS SA: Temba Bavuma opens up on the possibility of facing Umran Malik
Meanwhile, South African captain Temba Bavuma has revealed the possibility of facing young Indian speedster Umran Malik in the upcoming five-match T20I series against the Indian cricket team.
Umran Malik has been included in India’s squad for the T20I series against Proteas. He earned a call-up to the Indian team in the wake of terrific bowling performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 season.
He impressed the cricket fraternity by bowling at a swift pace as he clocked 150 kmph. Moreover, he has troubled the opposition batters with his raw pace. He has played 17 games wherein he has taken 24 wickets to his name.
Umran Malik has taken one four-wicket haul and one five-wicket haul to his name. The right-arm fast bowler might make his international debut against South Africa.
Talking about Umran Malik, Temba Bavuma said, “I think in South Africa we grow up facing fast bowlers but I don’t think no batter likes to face a ball at 150 kmph. But you prepare as well as you can. We also got guys who can bowl 150 kmph.
“So we have that weaponry in our arsenal. But Umran Malik is a special talent for Team India and I hope that he could emulate his IPL performance in international cricket,” he added.
