IND vs SA: Temba Bavuma-led South Africa cricket team were clearly the better side across all aspects of the game in the first ODI against Team India.

Proteas beat India by 9 runs and took the first lead in the three-match ODI series at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

In fact, the start of the fixture was delayed due to rain. After several rounds of inspection, the umpires decided that it is best to trim the format to 40 overs aside.

Batting first, Proteas managed to post a pretty good total of 249 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
