Rohit Sharma and Co will be looking forward to the Proteas challenge at home. They do have all the ingredients in their arsenal to pose a serious threat to the opposition in the shortest format.

It will be quite interesting to see how the Indians would approach the game against Proteas. South Africa do have a strong team to compete with India and for sure, we can expect a cracker of a contest.

The T20I opener between India and South Africa will kick off on September 28, Wednesday. The match will kick off at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

The second T20I will kick off on October 2, Sunday at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. On the other hand, the third and final T20I will kick off on October 4, Tuesday at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.

IND vs SA: Temba Bavuma heaps praise on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

South African captain Temba Bavuma showered praises on the Indian duo namely Virat Kohli and Rohit ahead of the T20I opener in Kerala.

South Africa skipper added that his team is expecting the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit to come and lead Team India from the vanguard for the three-match T20I series.

Kohli scored 61 in the series decider against Australia. On the other hand, Rohit scored a match-winning 40 off 26 balls in the must-win game against Aussies in Nagpur.

“Those are names with big pedigree behind them. As you would have seen in the last while their confidence has boosted the performances of the team,” Bavuma said.

“We expect them to obviously come on and lead from the front, which is good practice for the team. It will be good for us to come up against their best. We expect those guys to bring a lot of confidence and X-factor into their team,” Temba Bavuma added.

“This will be our last series before the World Cup and we’ll be looking to plug any gaps we feel that are there. We have guys who have been playing a lot of cricket and I guess we will be managing their intensity,” he echoed.
