IND VS SL: Ravichandran Ashwin hilariously plays tabla on Mohammed Shami’s head to celebrate a wicket

IND VS SL: The Indian team started their campaign for the second test on Saturday. Refreshed, recharged and motivated, the men in blue opted to bat first. All the players looked fuelled and there were happy faces in the camp.

However, the Chinnaswamy pitch did not seem to be in any mood to favour any parties. Fans were expecting a lot of cricket in the 05 days, which does not seem to happen now. A total of 16 wickets have fallen on day 01. With 04 more days left, this does look like an early closure.

Indian batsmen struggled in all the sessions to face the Sri Lankan bowlers. The pitch seemed to assist the bowlers heavily, and the bowlers took full advantage to push batsmen to the backfoot.

In the midst of this batting collapse, we saw a very interesting incident involving Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami. The cameras caught sight of the duo and the fans cannot control their laughter on seeing the same. ALSO READ: IND VS SL: Virat Kohli imitates Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action on the field

Another positive from this series against Sri Lanka for India has been the brilliant utilization of DRS. India has been extremely successful in challenging on field umpire’s controversial decisions so far. The same was also seen on Saturday.

Mohammad Shami was continuing his spell against Sri Lankan batsman, Dhananjay De Silva. Shami was impressive with the ball, and continued his momentum going. There was one delivery in which he trapped the batsman completely on the front. There was a huge appeal, and the umpire overruled it.

Skipper Rohit Sharma too was uninterested to opt for the DRS, considering the bounce. However, former skipper, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant walked up to him immediately. They convinced the skipper of an opportunity here and compelled Rohit to go for a review. ALSO READ: IND vs SL: Rohit Sharma Receives An Advice From Sunil Gavaskar
