IND vs WI LIVE – India is ready to start the series against the West Indies under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Opener Rohit Sharma is returning to the team after a long gap. Rohit was out before the South Africa tour and there is a lot of hope from him considering his captaincy record.

A successful captain in IPL and previously captained India, Rohit has proved himself. Former India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar believes that Rohit’s captaincy will be slightly different and better than Virat Kohli.

“Whatever we have seen, Rohit’s captaincy is a little different and calmer than Virat Kohli. But we have seen his leadership qualities in the past and not just in franchise cricket. His cricket career is now at that stage where he has a lot of experience and has played a lot of matches,” Ajit Agarkar highlighted.

India has to play 2 big World Cups in the coming 2 years and Rohit Sharma would definitely like to end the World Cup drought. Ajit Agarkar believes Rohit’s captaincy will be different.

“The captaincy is different for anyone series or some matches. But now as a full captain, you have to prepare the team for the upcoming 50 over world cup or 20 over world cup,” Agarkar narrates.

“About 8 years ago, India had won a World Cup, so now there is hope from Rohit Sharma. Rohit’s big challenge will be to keep himself fit so that he can play as many matches as possible. The quality of former captains was to keep themselves fit and be a part of more matches,” Ajit Agarkar highlighted.
