Inter Milan ready to sign one more player from Barcelona along with Ivan Rakitic

Inter Milan are willing to make a move for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal who is reportedly unhappy with lack of playing time under Valverde.

Arturo Vidal recently expressed his disappointment over lack of playing time at Barcelona having played just 209 minutes across eight appearances. The Chilean midfielder recently came as a substitute in the Catalan-based club’s recent UEFA Champions League fixture against Slavia Prague on Wednesday and managed just 12 minutes on the pitch. The 32 year old is reportedly considering a move away from the Camp Nou and has put Inter at the top of his preference list for a new club.

Vidal’s chances of regular first-team football do look slim by the look of things with Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets and Arthur Melo all seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order at the Camp Nou this season. That does not look like changing anytime soon either and at 32 years of age, it is hard to see who Ernesto Valverde would take out to accommodate Vidal in central midfield. The development is being closely monitored by Inter Milan who are keen to reunite him with manager Antonio Conte.

The Chilean looked set for Inter last summer until the Blaugrana swooped in late to sign him from Bayern Munich. Vidal, has previously consistently reiterated his desire to stay at the Camp Nou where he played an important role in winning the title last season. The arrival of Dutch international Frenkie De Jong however has pushed him further down the pecking order in Ernesto Valverde’s side and Inter boss Antonio Conte is waiting to make an offer should he look to move on from Catalonia.

Conte is believed to be a massive fan of the midfielder, with whom he worked together at Juventus. With two years still to run on his contract, Vidal will not be a cheap option, and the Blaugrana are likely to demand in the region of €25 m for the 32-year old, if Conte wants to be reunited with the player he won three league titles with at Juventus. It will be interesting to see if Vidal does decide to take the plunge but either way, his future appears to be on the way from the Camp Nou.
