Inter Milan Transfer News: How Nerrazuri will replace Venico

The former Fiorentina midfielder was largely a squad rotation player. He joined the San Siro side in 2017. The Nerazzurri paid a fee of €24 million to sign him. He signed a five-year contract with the club. During his time with Inter, he did not sign a contract extension with the club.
The 30 years old made 126 appearances during his five-year stay. He scored 13 goals and further provided seven assists in all competitions. Last season he was largely on the bench. However, he did provide Simone Inzaghi with a decent option from the bench.
The likes of Nicolas Barella, Marcelo Borozvic and Hakan Çalhanoğlu were ahead of him in the pecking order. Thus Inzaghi will be looking for a player who can cover up for his first-team starters. Also, Stefano Sensi is also a good option for the Nerazzurri. The Italian has good experience and he is only 26 years old.
It is also possible that a young player might be given a chance. It is no secret that Inter’s finances are very much stretched. Often in such situations, clubs turn to youngsters. This way both the player and the club are benefitted. It is possible that Inzaghi might have identified a youngster in the pre-season itself.
A new chapter for Matias Vecino

The Uruguayan will be playing under Maurizio Sarri. The former Juventus manager has a very rigid way of playing. However, it is very attractive and expansive football. For Sarri his midfield has to be set up in a particular way.
It will start with a pivot and then there will be a goal-scoring or creative midfielder on the left. On the right-hand side, the Italian wants a hard-working box-to-box player. It is likely that Vecino will play that position.
However, he will first have to win the trust of Sarri for regular game time. Although he can be a reliable figure for his new manager at Lazio. But only time will tell how things pan out at the Stadio Olimpico.
Vecino will be hoping that it turns out to be a good one. Right now he is at the peak of his career. He can give at least three years of his best form to Lazio as they look to challenge the heavyweights of Serie A.
