IPL is the most-watched T20 league tournament in the world. Its ability to attract world-class players makes it the most successful league in the world.

So far, 14 seasons of IPL have been done and dusted. Mumbai Indians won 5 titles, Chennai Super Kings won 4 titles. Kolkata Knight Riders won 2 titles, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Deccan Chargers won a title each.

It would not have been possible without the collective efforts of the players. At times, even the best players don’t make it to the playing XI for some reason.

1. Ajinkya Rahane

Delhi Capitals managed to give only two chances to Ajinkya Rahane in the 14th edition of the IPL. Rahane was not used properly by the DC team management.

2. Chris Lynn

The 31-year-old is a ferocious hitter of the cricket ball. We saw his dominance at the top of the order during his stint in KKR. However, he played only one game for Mumbai Indians in the 2021 season.

3. Sheldon Jackson

West Indies international Sheldon Jackson was expected to feature for Kolkata Knight Riders. The IPL 2021 finalists didn’t give the wicket-keeper a chance since Dinesh Karthik occupied the spot.

4. Tim David

Royal Challengers Bangalore roped him at the IPL 2021 player auction. However, the new recruit didn’t get opportunities to showcase himself. He played just one game for RCB.

5. Mandeep Singh

Not many know that Mandeep Singh bagged the IPL Emerging Player of The Year Award. Unfortunately, he didn’t get a chance to play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021.

6. Mohammad Nabi

Nabi has maintained a superb batting strike rate of 150 in IPL. He also has an economy of just over 7 runs per over. Despite all that, he wasn’t seen playing much for SRH.

7. Mohammed Azharuddeen

The 27-year-old cricketer hogged the limelight when he scored a century in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021. However, he didn’t get chances to play for RCB.

8. Tim Southee

New Zealand international Tim Southee is best-known for bowling terrific spells in death overs. Sadly, he played only three games for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021.

9. Kuldeep Yadav

The chinaman bowler took 41 T20I wickets to his name. Sadly, he has been overlooked by both national selectors. Shockingly, KKR team management didn’t give him a single chance.

10. Piyush Chawla

The veteran leg-spinner is IPL’s fourth-leading wicket-taker. He has taken as many as 157 wickets to his name. However, he played only one game for Mumbai Indians.

11. Umran Malik

SRH player, Umran Malik is one of the players who warmed the bench most of the season. Overall, he featured in only three games this season. He is someone who can clock 150 Kmph.
