IPL 2021 LIVE: Daniel Christian takes an impressive return catch to dismiss Jason Roy


IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 52nd game of the IPL. The game is taking place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and invited the opposition to bat first. George Garton provided an early breakthrough by dismissing Abhishek Sharma for 13.

However, Jason Roy and captain Kane Williamson put on a solid 70-run stand for the second wicket. England international Roy top-scored with 44 off 38 balls including 5 boundaries.

Kane Williamson scored 31 off 29 balls with the help of 4 fours. On the other hand, Harshal Patel was the pick of the bowlers for RCB. He took three wickets to his name.

Daniel Christian took 2 wickets while George Garton and Yuzvendra Chahal took a wicket apiece. The bottom-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad ended up posting 141/7 in 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were the first team to get eliminated from the competition. Nonetheless, they are playing as party-poopers in the remaining games. This is their penultimate game of the tournament.

Jason Roy who top-scored with 44 for SRH started to score runs at the rate of knots. After being under pressure for playing 37 deliveries, he decided to target Daniel Christian in the 15th over.

However, the move backfired him. He tried to hit a shot off Christian’s bowling in the last ball of the over. As it turned out, he hit the ball straight towards Daniel Christian.

Meanwhile, Christian was quick enough to respond to the pace of the ball. He took a stunning return catch in his safe pair of hands to get rid of dangerous Jason Roy.

Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers did a terrific job in restricting the Sunrisers to a very decent total. RCB will give everything to chase down the target as they are attempting to finish in the top two.
