DC vs SRH: DC won by 8 wickets
Sunrisers Hyderabad was just not able to get-go from the start as they lost the vital wicket of David Warner in the first over itself. From there on Wriddhiman Saha and Kane Williamson had all the hard work to put in. But it was Delhi’s bowling that stood up and broke the partnerships throughout the match.
Williamson and Saha only managed to put on 28 runs on the board before losing the 2nd wicket. Williamson was dropped twice but he was also looking a bit sluggish and in the end, Axar Patel got the best of him.
Manish Pandey and Kedhar Jadhav also did not manage to get runs on the board as they also lost their wicket in quick successions. Rashid Khan in the end with the help of Holder and Samad took Hyderabad to a respectable total of 134.
Anrich Nortje got the first breakthrough in the form of Warner and set the tone up for the Delhi Capitals. Axar Patel and Kagiso Rabada also showed their class as they kept on taking wickets in intervals.
From there on it was an easy task for the openers of Delhi to chase the target but losing Shaw early on put the pressure back on the Delhi Capitals. Shikhar Dhawan managed to get runs on the board after being not selected for the India T20 squad.
From there on Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant played brilliantly and made sure Delhi Capitals won the match with 2.1 overs to go.
