IPL 2022 LIVE: Punjab Kings are locking horns with Mumbai Indians in the 23rd game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is taking place at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Mayank Agarwal-led Punjab Kings to bat first. The five-time IPL champions are the only team that is yet to open their account in the ongoing season.
Mumbai Indians’ rivals Chennai Super Kings opened their account with a win by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in yesterday’s encounter. CSK are currently ninth on the table, leaving MI at the bottom.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings have played four games where they won two games and lost two games. They have a Net Run Rate of +0.152. MI has a Net Run Rate of -1.181 and still has a long way to go this season.

During the run-chase, Punjab Kings’ bowlers, Kagiso Rabada and Vaibhav Arora dismissed Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan early on. Dewald Brevis and Tilak Varma changed the entire complexion of the game.
The left and right-hand combination proved to be deadly as they took the attack to the cleaners. The best part of the game was recorded when Brevis hit 4 sixes in a row off Rahul Chahar.

The incident happened during the 9th over when Brevis launched four maximums in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth delivery. The youngster also smashes a 112-meter six in the last ball which stunned the cricket fraternity.
