IPL 2022 Final: Evin Lewis’ one-handed stunner helps him win the catch of the season

Evin Lewis drew plaudits from every nook and corner of the cricket fraternity for his spectacular catch. His catch helped Lucknow Super Giants seal the game by a slender two-run win over KKR.

Lucknow Super Giants also secured their playoff berth and then finished third in the points table. However, they surrendered at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The winner of the best catch of the season, Evin Lewis received a cheque of Rs 10 lakh. Gujarat Titans were the first team that made their entry into the finals after beating Rajasthan Royals in the first qualifier.

RCB knocked LSG out of the competition in the Eliminator but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier. Rajasthan Royals played against Gujarat Titans in the final at the world’s largest cricket stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans clinched the peak encounter by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare. They won the maiden trophy in a grand fashion in their first season.
