IPL 2022: The Indian Premier League (IPL) has left a whole slew of stars in its wake once again. In IPL 2022, everyone from uncapped Indians to seasoned cricketers made an everlasting impression.
With more than 800 runs this season, Jos Buttler clearly leads the run charts. The English batter was perhaps the most deserving player to miss out on the prestigious trophy. He was closely followed by Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul, both of whom were not far behind.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav made sizzling comebacks in the 15th edition of the IPL. Hardik Pandya, the star all-rounder, and veteran WK-batter Dinesh Karthik, both showed that class is permanent. The IPL provided a stage for India’s once-prolific cricketers to rediscover their form.
However, if the seniors get a boost, the rookies and uncapped players aren’t far behind. Former India opener Virender Sehwag has praised Rahul Tripathi, who is 31 years old. The legendary Indian opener believes he is the most prolific No. 3 batter in the IPL 2022.

IPL 2022: Virender Sehwag Heaped Praise on Rahul Tripathi for His Performances This Season
IPL 2022: Tripathi, unlike Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh, may not have been called up to the Indian team. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batter, on the other hand, was consistent and garnered many fans, including Sehwag.
The 31-year-old scored 413 runs in 14 IPL 2022 games, averaging 37.55 runs per match. He batted at a strike rate of 158.24 this season for the Orange Army, including three half-centuries.
“Rahul Tripathi batted really well at No. 3. He scored over 400 runs this season and was the best No. 3 batter of the season,” Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.
According to Sehwag, Rahul Tripathi has been the most successful player at No. 3. If we consider all the teams, he believes he has set the bar for his position. Tripathi has scored a lot of runs in his position, so the hype is pretty obvious. For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, he won quite a few games in his own accord. He also played a significant role in SRH’s five-match victory streak.

Tripathi spent the last season with the Kolkata Knight Riders. During the IPL 2022 mega-auction in February, he was signed for a stunning 8.5 core. Nonetheless, the Maharashtra batter validated the franchise’s faith in him. With three fifties, he scored an incredible 413 runs.
The fact that SRH went on a five-match winning streak was largely due to Tripathi’s superb form, as Sehwag stated. In four matches, he had scores of 39 not out, 17, 71, 34, and 7 not out.
