1. Moises Henriques
Moises Henriques, a skilled top-order batter and a competent bowler, can replace Mitchell Marsh. Henriques has taken the squad to the finals of the Big Bash League in each of the last three seasons, winning two titles. He scored 440 runs in 16 innings during the team’s most recent season, and he was also the team’s highest run-scorer.
Since the second edition of the Indian Premier League, Henriques has been a part of it. From the 2015 to 2017 editions, his best performances were with Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2017, he hit 277 home runs with a 46.16 batting average. The following season, though, he was unable to find a buyer.

3. Dasun Shanaka
Dasun Shanaka, the Sri Lanka limited-overs captain, is another quality possibility for the Delhi Capitals. He may fill Marsh’s all-rounder shoes. He has been playing T20 cricket since 2012, and in 2016 he made his impact on the international circuit in all formats.
Dasun Shanaka was the best run-scorer for the touring party in the recent T20I series against India in February 2022, scoring 124 runs in three innings. After the top-order collapse, his calm demeanour in the middle overs and pinch-hitting in the final few overs gave Sri Lanka a boost.
Over the years, none of the Indian Premier League franchises have expressed interest in hiring Shanaka. However, his performances under Indian circumstances will keep the Delhi Capitals team management on their toes.
4. Ben McDermott
For the past two years, Ben McDermott has been one of the best players in the Big Bash League. In the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, he was the highest run-getter for the Hobart Hurricanes, with 402 and 577 runs, respectively. The Hurricanes’ performances in the 2021/22 season also aided them in securing a playoff berth.
McDermott’s consistent efforts have won him a spot in Australia’s limited-overs squad. He scored 93 runs in five innings in the recent T20I series against Sri Lanka, including a half-century in one of the games.
Ben McDermott’s base price of 50 lakhs in the IPL 2022 Auction went unsold. His T20 experience, track record, and current form are anticipated to help him earn a position in the Delhi Capitals squad.
5. Ben Cutting
Ben Cutting has a lot of expertise in the T20 format. Despite only appearing in four One-Day Internationals and seven Twenty-20 Internationals for Australia, he is a popular player in T20 franchise leagues. In the 2014 edition of the Indian Premier League, he made his debut with Rajasthan Royals.
