IPL 2022 LIVE: Prasidh Krishna let his performance do the talking during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the fifth game of the IPL. The right-arm fast bowler stuck to his basics and kept things simple against SRH.
His way of approaching the game made a big difference as he not only took a couple of wickets but also conceded a few runs in his full bowling quota of 4 overs. The right-arm fast bowler took 2 wickets to his name.
He conceded 16 runs in his spell. Moreover, he looked so dangerous with the new ball as he dismissed Kane Williamson for 2 runs. After that, he dismissed Rahul Tripathi for a duck.
Soon after that, Sunrisers never looked like recovering from the early hiccups. They ended up losing track and went on to lose the game. Rajasthan Royals won the game by 61 runs.
Sanju Samson was named the Player of the Match for his amazing batting skills. He scored 55 off only 27 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 203.70.
Devdutt Padikkal was another batter who played quite well as he scored 41 off 27 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes. On the other hand, Aiden Markram scored 57 off 41 including 5 fours and 2 sixes. Washington Sundar scored 40 off 14 balls including 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Meanwhile, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri reserved the highest respect for pacer Prasidh Krishna for his disciplinary performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad at MCA Stadium.
Ravi Shastri who is part of the Hindi commentary panel for this season was impressed with Prasidh Krishna’s bowling spell. Krishna drew plaudits from his teammates and fans for his 2/16.
“He was tough. When you’re bowling at lengths, the hard lengths, you expect some weird balls when you beat the bat and get the edges (that may go loose). But he was rude, he provided nothing,” Ravi Shastri said on Star Sports’ post-match programme.
“He double-checked that the batters had their driver’s licenses in their pockets. I don’t want to see your driver’s license, and I’m not going to offer you anything right away. I’m going to ping you on the back foot and take you out,” he added.
Rajasthan Royals got off their campaign to a sensational start. They are the first team to score more than 200 runs on the board. Moreover, they are the first team to win the game despite batting first.
The first four games of the IPL were otherwise. The teams that opened the face of the blade first went on to lose the game. RR will lock horns with Mumbai Indians on April 2 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
