IPL 2022 Live: Rohit Sharma has been fined a whopping ₹24 Lakhs for slow over-rate against Punjab Kings on Wednesday.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and he decided to have a bowl first. However, things did not go according to the plan as the Mumbai Indians bowling turned pale again.

It was not a fine bowling display from the Mumbai Indians bowling unit. Punjab Kings raced to a magnificent start yesterday thanks to Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan. Both put up 97 runs for the first wicket which was significant enough.

Mayank Agarwal put up 52 runs from 32 balls while Shikhar Dhawan put up 70 runs from 50 balls. This was a brilliant display by both of them. Down the order, even Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan contributed.

Punjab Kings put up 198 runs with a loss of five wickets in the first innings. This was an above par score from the Mohali based team. Mumbai Indians got to a good start. They continued that thanks to a thunderbolt inning from Dewald Brewis.

But in the end, Mumbai Indians were not able to chase the score as they finished at 186 runs with a loss of nine wickets. Mayank Agarwal led team won the match against Mumbai Indians by 12 runs.
