IPL 2022: Mayank Agarwal Set To Lead Punjab Kings From The Front

IPL 2022: Punjab Kings is one of the few existing teams in the IPL that are yet to win a title since the inception of the tournament. They made it to the final only once in IPL 2014 season.

However, they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. KL Rahul captained Punjab Kings in the last two seasons of the IPL but failed to live up to his reputation as a captain.

Although he thrived as the batsman, the franchise lacked a proper leader. Under his captaincy, Punjab Kings finished sixth on the points table in the last two seasons. KL Rahul decided to part ways with the franchise post the IPL 2021 season.

Lucknow Super Giants recruited the services of Lokesh Rahul for Rs 17 crore. He will lead the newly-inducted franchise from the franchise. On the other hand, questions were raised as to who would lead Punjab Kings in the next season.
