IPL 2022: A lot is happening ahead of IPL 2022. Franchises are revealing about who they are retaining and some shocking releases. They are also not leaving any stones unturned to hurl some witty remarks against each other.
A similar incident happened recently. Kolkata Knight Riders took to their official Twitter handle to post a picture of MS Dhoni. While some might be thinking this is a good thing, CSK fans actually took offense out of that.
The post is actually a comparison of field placements, one in the recently concluded Ashes and the other in one of the IPL matches.
The fourth test between England and Australia ended in a draw. It was a result of the sheer grit and determination from all the England batsmen.
IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja gives it back to KKR in style
In the event to put pressure on the English batsman, James Anderson, Pat Cummins ordered everyone to come close to the batsman. This type of fielding in test cricket is one of the rare occurrences, that does not happen quite often.
KKR took to their official Twitter handle to compare this post with that of an IPL match between KKR and RPS. Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni captained the former and latter sides respectively.
Gautam Gambhir had brought in most of the fielders close to MS Dhoni who was batting at the crease. Posting both the pics together, the franchise mentioned – “That moment when a classic move in Test cricket actually reminds you of a T20 master stroke!”

CSK fans were not quite pleased with this gesture from Kolkata Knight Riders. Also, fellow team mate, Ravindra Jadeja also did not find the post amusing. Being a close friend of Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja decided to give it back to KKR in style.
He replied to the tweet saying that it is just a show-off from the franchise and no master stroke of any kind. Clearly, he did not entertain this kind of tweet against his captain.
Following this tweet, CSK fans lauded Jadeja for his sense of humor. Many fans even retaliated using Gautam Gambhir’s poor form in that match as a weapon.
