IPL 2023: The IPL mini-auction for the 2023 season is scheduled to take place in a few weeks, and several franchises have been deciding who to keep for the lucrative event the following year.
KS Bharat, Tim Seifert, and Shardul Thakur, among other prominent players, are reportedly candidates for release by the Delhi Capitals. Notably, Thakur was acquired by the Delhi-based franchise in the big auction earlier this year for a hefty sum of INR 10.75 crore.
In the previous competition, Thakur took 15 wickets in 14 games, however, he was only worth 9.79 runs. He was only able to generate 120 runs at an average of 15.00 with the bat.
The Mumbaikar was supposed to be transferred before the auction, but the necessary transactions for him could not be made in time. The 31-year-old has travelled to Australia to cover the fast bowlers in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022.

While still holding a significant position in the Indian team. He will, however, probably enter the mini-auction since Delhi Capitals want to get rid of him.
IPL 2023: Shardul May Not Fulfill Their Allrounder Spot
“Shardul is a top-tier all-around player, but his cost presented a challenge. Hebbar, Mandeep, Seifert, and Bharat are the other individuals who are anticipated for release “A source from the IPL was cited by TOI.
In the meantime, the brand is also planning to release Ashwin Hebbar, Mandeep Singh, Tim Seifert, and KS Bharat alongside Thakur. In contrast to Hebbar, who did not play in the competition the previous year.
The other batters did not stand out when given a chance to play for the Delhi Capitals. Because Seifert and Bharat are both wicketkeeper-batters. If they opt to release them, they will require a replacement for Rishabh Pant.
