Hardik Pandya and Co were quite clinical in clutch moments of the game. As a result, they defied all the odds and won the maiden title in their inaugural season.
The defending champions managed to win as many 10 games in the group stage and topped the points table. Overall, they secured 20 points with a NRR of +0.316.
Gujarat Titans lost just four games out of their 16 games that they played in the last edition’s IPL. They will be looking forward to doing well even in the next season’s IPL.

Meanwhile, in what comes a shocking development, Gujarat Titans are planning to trade their top paceman in order to secure the services of Shivam Mavi from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Meanwhile, New Zealand international Lockie Ferguson is set for a grand return to his former franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders.
The New Zealand player has represented the two-time IPL champions in as many as 18 games. He extended his contribution to the team between IPL 2019 and IPL 2021 seasons.
Overall, he managed to grab as many as 21 wickets to his name. Needless to say, Gujarat Titans didn’t benefit largely from the paceman’s services after they purchased him.
The former KKR player represented Gujarat Titans in 13 games where in he accounted for 12 dismissals. On the other hand, he had a terrible bowling average of 36 and maintained an expensive economy of 8.96.
However, the untimely injury woes meant that he lost his place to West Indies paceman. On the other hand, Shivam Mavi had a terrible campaign in the last edition.
However, Gujarat Titans are aware of Mavi’s potential who took 20 wickets in 17 games before the two seasons. The upcoming IPL auction will kick off in Turkey on December 16.
